Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is Hypnosis?
It is a state of relaxation and concentration at one with a state of heightened awareness which is induced by suggestion. It is a non-addictive power for good and is a natural manifestation of the mind at work.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Yes, (although the mentally handicapped persons are mostly unable to participate due to the nature of the therapy.
Are any drugs used?
No most certainly not.
Is Hypnotherapy Safe? Will I know what is happening?
Yes Hypnotherapy is completely sate. You are totally aware at all times and in complete control. Most people are surprised to remember all that has happened during the therapy.
Will I be asleep?
No, you are simply very relaxed.
How many sessions will I need?
Suggestions therapy for problems, such as smoking, nail biting, slimming, pre-test nerves etc usually require a single session and the success rate is surprisingly high. Analytical therapy will be required for more deep-rooted problems such as nervous disorders, fears and phobias and confidence issuesr etc, this usually consists of 8-12 weekly sessions.
How can I be sure of the best possible treatment?
You can take comfort in the fact that I am a member of the IAPH (International Association of Pure Hypnotherapists). They have trained thousands of hypnotherapists since they started in 1981, and currently have the largest membership.
